This week was interesting. I worked more on my daily routine. I was able to maintain the activities that I incorporated into my daily routine in the previous week, which were going to bed around 23 and brushing my teeth beforehand. Also, I tried to add more activities to this routine. Here they are:
- Brushing teeth in the morning: I didn’t do it on Monday or Tuesday, but I did on Wednesday. After doing so, I felt so good about it that I kept doing it for the rest of the week. I think it’s not a challenge to keep doing it because it’s almost automatic. When I wake up and go to the bathroom first, I can easily do it right after washing my face because my toothbrush and tooth paste are already there in front of the mirror.
- Eating breakfast: Well, it kept going well until Thursday. But I stopped eating breakfast after that just because I ran out of bread and forgot to buy bread. It was a stupid failure. I’ll try to keep doing it next week.
- Eating dinner: I also kept eating dinner properly until the middle of the week and suddenly stopped eating dinner after that. One of its reasons is that until Wednesday, I had some frozen food which I could easily prepare and eat. But I didn’t have enough energy to prepare a meal from scratch. So, maybe I have to try doing meal prep this weekend in order to have enough food for the week.
- Strength Training: I was supposed to do strength training three times this week. I already did it twice. So, I think I’ll hit the gym once again tomorrow in order to achieve this goal. My main incentive for this activity is that because I lost a lot of my fat during the last 6 months, the changes that exercise makes in my body will be instantly visible. So, it was also a part of my daily routine to go to the bathroom, take off my shirt, and enjoy my muscle definition. :)) Maybe it’s a little bit weird, but I was just amazed by how my body’s shape can change so quickly.
- Staying hydrated: Well, this one was somewhat different. I didn’t need to force myself to drink more. It was more about tracking how much water I drink a day. Apparently, I already drink enough water. Or I don’t know; It’s also possible that monitoring my water consumption made me more aware of it, and therefore drank more than usual. No idea!
Apparently, I didn’t do most of them perfectly. So, I’m not sure whether I should focus on perfecting these activities next week, or add more to my routine. Well… I think these eating activities are really important, and it’s hard to stick to them. So, I’ll just add a few light items and keep focusing on my meals.
So, let’s take a look at some activities to pick some important and light items and aim for them.
- Hmmm I still have to work on the sleep, so it’s still ongoing.
- I think there is no problem between me and water, so I also mark “Staying Hydrated” item as done.
- I still have to work on my strength training routine, so adding cardio or stretch exercises are not a good idea right now.
- Eating dinner and breakfast are still challenging for me, so no room for trying to also have snacks regularly.
- Ok, here it comes. Taking Vitamin D and Protein supplements are somewhat good candidates. I already had a Vitamin D deficiency back in Iran. Here, I get even less sunlight. So, I definitely need supplements for it. Also, if I consume Protein supplements, I will have more choices for making a meal because it won’t be necessary to receive all of my protein from my food. Therefore, preparing meals will get easier.
- Things are going pretty well with oral hygiene activities. So, let’s add daily floss and mouthwash to the routine as well. I already bought a mouthwash today. And if I already brush my teeth every night, it won’t be hard to also use mouthwash after that, right?
- By the way, the skin on my face is getting dry because of the change in seasons. So, probably it’s a good idea to also use face skin moisturizers from now on. A little bit in the morning should be enough, and I already have a moisturizer and don’t need to put too much effort on finding and buying one.
OK then, I’ll just add these 5 activities. Let’s see how it goes in the next week.
Wow, this text looks so weird. But I don’t care. This blog is the last place in which I want to censor myself.
For vitamin D I used to have the same issue. There is a method in which you consume 50k dosage every weak from 1-2 months, and then reduce it to 1 per month. This will fix the deficiency for quite a long time. I can send you med papers I read coming across this. If you want just let me know!
Just wanted to say another future step for the last task is to turn it into a proper skin routine! I started doing that about a month ago and it’s just so so much fun! Mine is extremely simple fyi, I just use a face wash, apply toner, and then apply moisturizer and eye cream. Once a week I use an exfoliating solution! Some people go even crazier, but this is just well more than enough. And it’s extremely fun to do!!
I don’t know what you mean by snacks, but having some nuts and dried cranberries is a good candidate for snacks, and you can easily find them in the stores! Also fresh dates are yummy and a good candidate!
Last note: So proud of you for making such small but big steps toward a better life! Not an easy thing to do, but you’re doing it. Good job! 😁
Wow thanks a lot for your advice!
I think you can’t buy 50k tablets without prescription here. So, I think I have to consume some tablets with a lower dosage but more frequently.
