OK I think you have to ignore my previous post. My panic lasted for at most 30 minutes after writing that post. After that, I realized I was just a little bit overwhelmed by the atmosphere. The reality, however, was a little bit different. The fact is that other students are not much more proficient than me.
Also, I just decided to study more and deal with the situation. So, I went over the presentation again and added the new words to an Anki deck. There were 53 new words. Fucking 53! =)) However, I studied them and I started to feel better.
Today, I had the second class. The teacher was a different person, and I was able to understand the new one better. Not that I was able to understand all of her words completely, but it was much easier than understanding the previous teacher. Also, some of her words were between the words I had studied yesterdat. Obviously, it felt so good to encounter those words again in the class.
Yeah. That’s it. Kein Problem. Alles gut! 😀
By the way, I’ve started to consume more German audio content. I listen to Easy German podcasts for example. Although I’m still too far from understanding the contents well, it still feels good to detect some phrases that I already know among all of those hard to understand sentences. Also, every so often, I pick a German song and start to listen to it repeatedly and read its lyrics and translation a few times. After some time, I’ll be able sing with the song. It also helps me learn a lot without any kind of pressure arised from actual language study.
