Did I say my first task at the research group is doable? I was wrong. I was so wrong. I know nothing. Literally nothing. As I advance through the project, I encounter more and more things that I don’t know. I’m fucking exhausted. I learn more and as I learn more, there will be a lot more things that I don’t know. The whole things are new to me. I’m completely disappointed. I’m afraid if I sleep, I see nightmares about these things: U-Boot, Buildroot, Kconfig, qemu, DropBear, virtio, ARM Processors, Cortex A9, GIC, APIC, ACPI, Bochs, JTAG, ttyAMA0, tty, pty, VGA, nested virtualization, type I hypervisor, type II hypervisor, fuzzing, modified kernel, virtualized SD card, stage 1 bootloader, stage 2 bootloader, ahhhh. :-scream
Fuck! This is what I’m literally dealing with: Creating a virtual machine inside a virtual board inside a virtual machine. What the fuck? And creating this environment is just the beginning. I have to do that just to be able to start the actual project. Why am I so ignorant of all these concepts? I really have to try hard, and of course I will. Just wanted to blow off some steam. (I like this term, because this is what I’m almost always doing. I have a lot of steam.)
